This in-person class offers students the opportunity to participate in a full day of hands-on training inspecting a commercial building. The subject building provides a one-of-a-kind opportunity to inspect three common types of commercial properties — a restaurant, a brewery, and an auto repair garage — all under one roof. Instructor Rob Claus, CMI®, will guide students through all of the major systems and components of the subject property. This will allow students to become familiar with a variety of commercial systems and to ask questions about the systems as they inspect them. Throughout the day, Rob will also discuss inspection methodology, how the systems work, defect recognition, and best practices for reporting according to the International Standards of Practice for Inspecting Commercial Properties (ComSOP).
